Frank Family wines will be on sale throughout the month of April. And on Friday, April 13, wine steward Shawn Collar will share tastes of wines from the Frank Family portfolio from 5:00 p.m. So drop by and sample winemaker Todd Graff's fruit forward yet balanced wines. He has been the winemaker at Frank Family since 2003. And to the winery he brought 20 years of winemaking experience from wineries in Europe, Australia and California.
The Frank Family Napa Valley Chardonnay 2005 ($32.50) offers aromas of orange, fig and caramel, with flavors of apple, pear, and vanilla cream—for a long finish in this full-bodied wine. Frank Family Napa Valley Zinfandel 2004 ($34.75) is dense and black in color with aromas of dark chocolate, raspberry, and black pepper with flavors of boysenberry and clove spice. Frank Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 ($40) opens with aromas of violets, cassis and cedar with layers of plum and spice. And flavors of black cherry are interwoven with fine tannins leading to a long, balanced finish. Frank Family Vineyards Rutherford Reserve 2003 ($75) is deep purple in color with aromas of blackberry, caramel and vanilla. Flavors of black fruit lead to a silky finish. Prices stated are suggested retail, not the sale prices.
