The station is attended by a B&A server who keeps the shot glasses full throughout the event. The shot glasses are filled one-third to one-half full with the flavor and then filled to the top with champagne. The flavored liquors that are used include Blue Raspberry, Strawberry, Watermelon, Mango, Pomegranate and Sour Apple. “The shot takes on the color of the flavor used. The shot glasses are displayed artfully on glass blocks and pieces of Lucite,” Mason explains. Select a color to match your bridesmaids’ dresses or flowers. Or offer the opportunity for guests to choose their own flavor by offering them all—which makes a rainbow of colorful options. The Champagne Shooter Station can be part of your bar selection, or it can be used as a stand alone in lieu of having a bar. “And for a fun non-alcohol event we substitute ginger ale, sprite or 7-Up.”
Lower your stress level by planning ahead. And if you want guests to have fun at your wedding reception his idea is more than unique. It is—worth a shot.
