Tattinger Brut La Francaise

In 1932 Pierre Taittinger began making Champagne in the revolutionary “natural” style that was to set the standard for lightness and delicacy and to become the hallmark of the Taittinger style.

Taittinger Brut La Francaise is produced from select Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grown in the finest micro-climates of the viticultural area of Champagne. The distinctive delicate and elegant Taittinger style relies heavily on the proportion of each grape variety to the blend: Pinot Noir lends body, structure and power as well as elegant red berry aromas typical of the varietal; Pinot Meunier provides a supple, round fruitfulness; Chardonnay contributes elegance, finesse, crispness and delicacy to the blend.

Lightly creamy in texture and light toastiness that is not too over the top, the Taittinger Brut is also marked by refined Chardonnay fruit flavors. A fresh, balanced acidity sustains the whole, and carries into a long, crisp toasty finish. Delicious!
